Improvements made for final music video
From the music video's first draft the improvements made where the intertextual reference changed and became more evident to the targeted audience. Originally it was going to be a Disney reference, but changed to become a intertextual reference to the film Clueless, where the main character of the music video resembles the film's main character Cher, through their shared higher class and materialistic values. The shots became quicker and shorter to work well with the music's tempo and increase the pace of the music video to fit well with the dance music genre. Some shots were changed, specifically the beach shots originally in the first draft were removed to make the presence of all the three girl characters come across as a natural occurrence in the music video. The storyboard is seen to be significantly different to the end result of the music video because the new order positively impacted the music video's flow and allows the narrative of the video to come across...
Intertextual reference
Intertextual reference - Film 'Clueless' and Iggy Azalea music video 'Fancy' To further highlight the music videos wealthy main character representing the higher class. The addition of the intertextual reference to Cher from Clueless allows the audience to identify and like the character because it resembles a character they have watched in a film and loved. Additionally when referring to the film Clueless, the music video 'Fancy' by Iggy Azalea, which also intertextually refers to Cher, becomes another intertextual reference. With this intertextual reference I have updated it and made it appeal to the modern day audience. Through using an iPhone to swipe on models wearing the clothes and liking or deleting the outfit. However, I have altered the outcome compared to the original scene in the film. In the film she chooses to wear the iconic yellow outfit. Music video's representations
Representations in the music video Ethnicity The whole idea was to merge modern and traditional representations of ethnicity, specifically Hindu culture. Modernity was shown through the non restricted rules, such as out having fun with a friend of a different race, religion and background. Also the independence of the young girl. Traditional sari worn while dancing in a typical British countryside = merge of two different cultures, showing the idealistic sense of British unity. Social Class Lower class/poverty demonstrated through homeless girl, struggling and begging. Higher class demonstrated through the London and materialistic world, through the main character who intertextually resembles Cher from Clueless, through getting taxis and holding lots of shopping bags. At the end when all girls unite, the social class interaction demonstrates the rich helping the poor, which is an unlikely dynamic. Key elements Think about the: -Expectations of the genre -The audience -What is expected of a website for a music artist Checklist... -Same font from the title shown in the music video to be shown in the website somewhere, show a link. -Colour scheme similar to music video. -Genre being club music, allow vibrant and dark colours at the same time. -Copyright free images. -The audience is teenagers to young adults, allow a youthful feel to the website. -Professional layout because this is to demonstrate to the fans this music artist's career. -Rollover images, from research of other websites this is common and also keeps the user engaged. -Don't allow the website to be clustered of images and information, can become boring and unprofessional, through research of Calvin Harris' website. -Have colours of images to go well with the background of the website.

Three brief narratives
1. This narrative will demonstrate the appearance of different types of girls in a music video, different interests, images, cultures and backgrounds. This will be shown through a number of girls presented in my music video, to promote female empowerment. 2. This narrative will display contrast in different youth cultures, urban vs natural/rural. Following the contrast of activity during the day time and night time, portraying different lifestyles. This will be shown through different areas shown in my music video on the streets at night and day time. 3. This narrative will show the appearance of a different culture and how it stands out among the social stereotypes. This will be shown through a girl for example, wearing a bright, colourful sari in a field dancing, this contrasts with some of the other girls.

Duke Dumont - Ocean Drive (Shaun Frank Remix) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BB5ydxD9GAo The song 'Ocean Drive' I had originally never heard before, but a friend recommended it to me. The artist also I had not heard before but when researching his songs, I recognised two of his songs. These songs were 'I Got You' and 'Won't Look Back'. The unedited version of 'Ocean Drive' was slow and not as club-like but I liked it, so I researched a remix version. I selected the remix version because it was more upbeat and would identify as club music. At the beginning of the remix music video I will crop it to about roughly fifty seconds into it because it has quite a long introduction with no singing just beats. I want my music video to start quickly with a few beats then singing, so in the 3 minutes I can have as many lyrics in it and also so it does not bore the viewer. Finders Keepers Music Video Our project was to create a media video using an existing music video already. The video needed to demonstrate some of the conventions and elements we had learnt. We used the song 'Finders Keepers' who was sung by Mabel. Evaluation The camera shots show from in front and behind the girls presented, this creates a following effect which engages the viewer. We also included viewpoint shots which helps the viewer see through the eyes of the character, this adds a personal effect. Direct gaze is shown when the girls are walking towards the camera beside a road, the light occasionally catches their eyes this helps attract the viewers attention more. The editing is shown through the changeover of shots from the two different girls presented at the beginning.We also started with a slow motion shot of the girl walking out of her house, we did this because it went along with the beat of the music.
